Hemp hearts are thee hemp seed after it has been hulled (shelled).  They are soft and tender, yet crunchy to eat. 

 

With a mildly nutty and slightly sweet flavor they make a wonderful addition to shakes, juices and smoothies. 

 

Many people sprinkle them on salads or use them to "top off" yogurt and fruit bowls. 

 

I add them to my homemade granola bars and granola.

Our Agave nectar is  not a purified substance such as high-fructose corn syrup, crystalline fructose, maltose or glucose syrup, corn syrup, tapioca syrup, and other highly refined syrups.

While other agave nectar take 36 hours to manufacture and are processed at 160-170 degrees F., Wilderness Family Naturals' Raw Agave takes 4-5 days to produce and is not processed at temperatures above 110 degrees. No cultures are added to the inulin water, no heat is used to speed up the process, and there is no extensive filtering done to reduce color and flavor.

 

This agave still contains inulin (the original solution that is fermented into simple sugars) and all the breakdown stages of the inulin as it eventually becomes a syrup made of simple sugars.  This nectar is truly a raw, unadulterated product as minimally processed as possible.

Wilderness Family Naturals' organic inulin has a neutral, clean, mildly sweet flavor.   There are 10 grams of fiber in a one ounce serving

 

In dairy and non-dairy frozen desserts, and in fermented foods such as yogurt and kefir, inulin is used to improve texture, give more satiety, enrich its fiber content, and provide the customer with a prebiotic. 
 

Beverages and smoothies are another place inulin can be used because   it is highly soluble (even in icy cold water) and improves satiety.
