Athlete's Corner - Scott Mendelson Q&A
Karen is over 50 and looking great!

Scott~  My wife and I both decided our current exercise program is just not challenging enough.  We were advised not to train as hard because we are over 50 which I think is completely bogus.  We want to maintain or muscle so we do not lose strength as we get closer to 60.  Burning fat is much harder than 10 years ago, what can we do with exercise and training to burn more fat?   Hank

Hank~ Over 50 years of age, training hard and smart is absolutely critical to support your success.  The correct training and nutrition strategies to fit your needs will ensure that your hard work pays off.  I have worked with many clients who have earned excellent results over 50.  The idea that people over 50 should just "relax and let the parade go by" is complete nonsense and a recipe for obesity.

"Simply Amazing"

"I marinated this with cumin, a touch of turmeric, garlic, basil and olive oil then grilled it. I cant even begin to say how fabulous it was. All of the meat is 100% amazing here. Thank you and keep it up!"

"Lately, I've been obsessed with the idea of making meals that give me a distinct sense of accomplishment in the shortest amount of time. Part of that comes from having a new baby in the house, as I've resumed full dinner-making duties, but maintaining my typical busy workdays. Sure, I could grab a jar of tomato sauce and toss it with some gluten-free pasta, but how long would it take me to make bolognese from scratch?  Today's recipe is the result of a recent project, where I worked to make a meal that's the best of both worlds: something I can be proud of, but not keep my family waiting in the process."
