Atlanta Real Food is run by the Atlanta area chapter leaders of The Weston A. Price Foundation. Here you will find the latest news from local farmers, get information on how to properly prepare real foods, and stay up to date on local events.
Check out this special offer from our long-time member and friend, Kristen Michaelis:
Hello Fellow Food Renegades!
Do you love small farmers and choosing what you eat? I do. I am also heartbroken over what is happening to farmers and food choice around our nation. And I can't stand the fact that the FDA says I don't have the right to choose what I feed my family and who I get that food from.
That is why August 19-21st, I am traveling to the famous Polyface Farm in Swoope, Virginia to see and support the work of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF). Every year, Polyface graciously throws an extravagant weekend to raise awareness and support the work of FTCLDF.
And I want YOU to join me. (See outline below of the weekend's events.)
That is right: you will get a free ticket to the entire weekend--the Premium Friday dinner, Saturday Polyface Farm tour, and the Sunday Ancestral Health Connection (if you buy tickets and end up winning, you will be refunded your ticket price!).
You have to donate by August 5th if you want to join me, Robb Wolf, Dallas Hartwig, Diana Rodgers, Drew Ramsey, Joel Salatin and more at Polyface!
And please remember: even if you don't win a free spot on this fundraising weekend, FTCLDF is an absolutely worthy organization to either join or donate money to. NOBODY ELSE is doing more to fight for small farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs and homesteaders. Nobody. So please make a donation today!
