Dear Atlanta,

It's red letter discount code weekend.  Retrieve the discount code from the Dr. Sears article, then add your favorite items to your cart and enjoy a store wide 15% discount. (Code expires this Tuesday at midnight CST; see full exclusions below).

Some of our favorite summer steaks are on sale this week - the 6 oz Top Butt Sirloin is a quick fix and makes a great salad steak or quick lunch steak.  The Flat Iron Steaks are a very tender cut and one of the most cost effective ways to purchase grass-fed steaks!  And as a bonus we have a recipe, Coffee Marinated Flat Iron Steak for you to try.

If steaks aren't your thing, Wild Caught Raw Shrimp is on sale and we have restocked a couple of our canned seafood items Wild Caught Albacore Tuna, and Wild Alaskan Red Salmon.

Thanks to a new breed of grain-free flour alternatives and all-natural, low-glycemic sweeteners it can be easy to make, paleo-friendly desserts (as well as breads, biscuits and crusts) that are every bit as delicious as they are nutritious.  To learn more read Kelley's Grain Free Goodies article, and also check out the fantastic review of Wellness Bakeries Better Bread in our Customer Review section!

Regardless of the name it is given, the principle of high intensity interval training continues to receive great reviews both anecdotally and scientifically.  This week Dr. Sears compares his PACE (Progressively ACcelerating Exertion) program to sustained cardiovascular exercise and shares the benefits of his program which include lengthening telomeres, multiplying mitochondria, and restoring stem cells.

Long distance running is becoming more and more popular. Close to two million people every year drag themselves across the finish lines. Unfortunately however, long distance running puts stress on your entire body.

But short, intense interval training like my PACE program has the opposite effects. In fact, studies show that PACE-style workouts slow down your aging clock, boost your energy, and help you heal and repair injuries and disease more quickly.

Customer Feedback

"Love this bread!"

"I've been using this product since I went straight Paleo in January, 2016. I can't say enough about it. I have never actually tried doing it up in a loaf, but I have made buns of all shapes and sizes more than 20 times.

The key is to make the size consistent in each batch. Then you get the best uniformity in cooking. I've made hot dog buns to go with the Sugar-free garlic beef franks, I've made big dinner rolls (8), I've made tiny dinner rolls (16). Lots of times I sprinkle in sea salt and powdered organic garlic. These things are so delicious, I crave them. High in protein and fiber and low in carbs, they are also very dense so you need to drink water when you eat them and they fill you up quickly. I just can't say enough good things about them. But the way I do it, with the separation of the eggs and the heating of the water and then the formation of the small buns, the prep time, not including the baking, takes me a good 45 minutes.  It is sooooo worth it!  Thrilled that US Wellness Meats has brought this on board!"

If you follow the all-natural, grain-free, low-glycemic diet that our ancestors enjoyed, then you might have decided that most cookies, cakes, bread and pizza just aren't on the menu. And if we're talking about the usual processed foods and traditional recipes for these goodies, that's probably a good thing. But it doesn't have to be that way...

Thanks to a new breed of grain-free flour alternatives and all-natural, low-glycemic sweeteners it can be easy to make, paleo-friendly desserts (as well as breads, biscuits and crusts) that are every bit as delicious as they are nutritious.

Farm Photos - US Wellness Cattle

Pasture salad bar with 12 species to pick from.  Thanks to leadership from North Dakota cattleman Gabe Brown, cover crops mixes are spreading to many states improving  soil health and cattle health.  Varied root systems and above ground growth habits of the 12 species in this mix are a win win for soils and cattle.

Cattle are busy taking the most succulent foliage after entering a new paddock minutes before this picture was taken.  July rains have created perfect grazing conditions.
