Celebrate Your Food Rights with a Tax-Deductible Donation on #GivingTuesday!

Dear Atlanta,

FTCLDF protects small farmers, artisan food producers, their consumers, and homesteaders from harassment by federal, state, and local agencies. We must continue to protect these local food movement champions while Big Ag and some of their government allies attempt to squash this competition.
We are a true grassroots organization and receive no government funding and little or no corporate funding. Our main sources of revenue are membership fees, individual donations, and grants from our new sister organization, the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund Foundation.
This year, we:
  • Filed a petition with FDA that would overturn the interstate ban on raw butter
  • Successfully represented Amish farmer Christian Zook in Pennsylvania for a fourth time in again stopping attempts by the government to shut down his own farm store
  • Provided representation to member Tammy Chavez in the fight to stop government efforts to limit raw milk distribution in Texas
  • Provided funding for legal representation to dairy farmer Dave Berglund in his effort to get a court ruling that the Minnesota and U.S. Constitutions give him the right to sell the products of his farm direct to consumers without government regulation
  • Continued to work on passage of the PRIME Act, a bill before Congress that would give states the option of allowing the sale of custom processed meat
  • Provided representation in zoning cases to protect the right of people to grow their own food and make a living off of their land
  • and much more!
Please support your food choices and our necessary work--make a tax-deductible donation at

Any donation amount is appreciated and will be used to further our mission.

Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, defends the rights and broadens the freedoms of family farms and artisan food producers while protecting consumer access to raw milk and nutrient-dense foods.
