February 20th - Presidents Day

"Campers will learn all about gardening and the animals that help our gardens"

Date: Presidents Day Monday, February 20, 2017
Time: 9:00 – 12:00
Ages: 6 and Up
Cost: $15 per Child and $10 per parent (Parents can stay with their child and participate in the activities or children can be dropped off)

Your child will think like a scientist as they discover the awesome earthworm and how its life creates the perfect soil for seeds and plants while playing in the dirt. Then they will spend time in our garden and greenhouse finding out how gardening is not just a summer activity. We will learn how seeds can be started indoors at this time of year and how children can help with the garden. Children will also take their very own worm farm and seedling to grow at home!
Our campers will also learn cool facts about pollinators from the resident honey bees at Rancho Alegre Farm from our beekeeper and how important they are to a garden. Your children can even sample some of their delicious honey.
