Joel Recalls Staunton Curb Market! + New On-Farm Poultry Processing Chart!
Dear Defender of Food Freedom,
No one says it quite like Joel Salatin; in his new post, he fondly recalls the Staunton Curb Market where, as a teenager, he could sell nearly any homemade food product you can imagine with *gasp* zero regulations and no food safety complaints and at often cheaper prices than the grocery stores! The On-Farm Poultry Processing Chart has two categories: one noting whether the state allows open-air poultry processing and another listing the venues a producer processing poultry on the farm can sell to. A third category detailing state licensing requirements for on-farm poultry processing will be added shortly.
