Here at Rancho Alegre Farm we are very busy and are looking for people that share our vision. Our farm focuses on teaching kids and adults all over metro Atlanta about sustainability and self-farming to enhance and promote a more natural style of living. We also host fun and intimate events that allow guests to enjoy a unique farm atmosphere.
In order for all of this to come together, our farm requires hard work and a group of dedicated people that are willing to put forth their best so the farm works at its full potential.
We are currently looking for someone that is available to work 6 days a week, dedicating approximately 1-1.5 hours in the morning and 1-1.5 in the afternoon. Daily duties include maintenance & feeding of animals, watering plants in our educational garden, composting organic matter to feed our wonder worms, and any other farm duties that may be required.
Compensation is $150/ week, with alternating weekends.
If you are not capable of handling different types of animals, this position is NOT for you. The staff is required to handle goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, cows, and horses here on our farm on a daily basis. Occasionally, you will be allowed to take home fresh eggs from our hens and raw milk from our goats, as well as produce from our garden.
Our staff is also given the opportunity to work our farm events, which include: Field Trips, Birthday parties, and Weddings for extra compensation.
