How Fun is Visiting Alegre Farm?
These kids had a blast this week when they visited the farm for a field trip!
You don't have to be a public or private school to book a field trip. Any group of 20 or more is just $8 per person!
Get a group together this summer and come visit! Teachers It's not to early to book your field trip for next year!
▪ Plant begonias, coleus, geraniums, petunias and vinca for summer-long color in your landscape.Snip off sprouts from the base and lower trunk of crepe myrtles that are being trained to grow in an upright tree form. ▪ Remove leafless limbs from shade trees. If they don't have leaves by now, they won't be coming back. ▪ Dig, divide and transplant your crowded irises to a better location, if needed, after they bloom. ▪ Prune early-flowering azaleas now that they have finished blooming. Remove tall sprouts at their base, inside the shrub.
Grow your own pineapples my way! When you cut the top off a pineapple use toothpicks to support then at the top of a vase of water. Once they grow roots plant them in pots and eventually you'll get our own homegrown pineapples!
