Holiday Essentials from LocalHarvest Farmers

Holiday Essentials from LocalHarvest Farmers

Some of the best gifts are simple things made or grown with care. Here are some selections from the LocalHarvest catalog that we think you'll enjoy, especially around your home and in the kitchen!

Every year Oak Hill Organics of Floyd, Virginia offers their legendary fresh boxwood wreaths and greenery through LocalHarvest. You can craft your own with Oak Hill's raw greenery, or choose from many sizes of finely-made boxwood wreaths and garlands. Get them while the getting is good!

Salamander Springs Permaculture Farm of Berea, Kentucky grows and hand-harvests their black beans, pinto beans, and yellow popcorn. They also offer freshly milled heirloom cornmeal! Their one and two pound packages make sweet stocking stuffers or small gifts for the good-food lover.

If you're baking, making snacks or putting together small goodie bags, Fillmore Farms has some of the yummiest, fresh organic English walnuts around. What sets their walnuts apart is that they're dried at lower temperatures to preserve the nut's natural enzymes. They offer bulk walnuts in two choices, either air-dried or heat-dried.

Happy Holidays!
