Grits enjoys a bath at summer camp

First Week of Summer Camp was Great!

Last week was the first camp of this summer at Alegre Farm. The weather was perfect, and the staff and children enjoyed the warmth of sun and embraced the shade, too! Children of all ages enjoyed feeding the animals, riding and washing the pony, planting herbs in their freshly painted pots to take home, and so much more.

Sisters making lasting memories at camp.

Sisters, Hannah and Ady, enjoyed their snow cones on the last day of camp. They looked fashionable in their sun hats and matching shorts. They learned proper care of a pony while grooming Grits and took home crafts they made.

Rising 6th and 7th graders and sisters, Kyndal and Aria, prove that all ages enjoy being at summer camp with Alegre Farm. They loved the pony ride, garden, and feeding the goats. But don't take our word for it. Check out their video on Facebook.

Due to your requests, we have added more staff to open 9 more spots for your children for the week of June 18th.

If you have considered sending your child here, please do not delay as we cannot open anymore spots beyond our recent changes.

Not yet? Well, you might wanna.

We are proud to say that we make our kombucha every Wednesday right here on the farm. And if you haven't tried it yet, well, we recommend you do. Not only does it have a great taste, it has amazing benefits.

What is kombucha?

Glad you asked! Kombucha is a sweetened fermented tea made from black or green tea leaves. The fermentation process creates probiotics, and we're sure you've heard that's important. It makes a great replacement for soda lovers as it has the fizzy feel in your mouth, but with a positive effect on your body. So visit the market and try a sample.
Oh, and did we mention that we also sell kombucha kits if you want to make it for yourself at home?

Please remember to order by 5pm Wednesdays for the same week pick up.
